What's your program?
A fun, interactive show where wildlife scientists from Arid Recovery answer children's questions about animals and the natural world.
Questions are recorded live at the Roxby Downs P&F Market Day and answered on-air the following Tuesday after school at 3pm.
How did you get involved with the station?
I heard Station Manger Jordan Curtis advertising for new show ideas and thought "hey...why not give it a go?"
Why did you decide to get involved at RoxFM?
I thought it would be a great way to get kids excited about wildlife and engaged in the local community.
What do you love about doing Conservation Conversation?
Hearing the questions that the kids have to ask.
From: "Why do pythons not venom you but only bite?", to "How many bettongs are there in Arid Recovery?" and "How do owls fly?", you never know what you are going to get.
What kind of music do you play on your show?
Anything we can relate back to animals, or any requests we might get.
Do you do anything else at the station?
I guest present on outside broadcasts at community events and occasionally feature on "A-Z with Az" and "The Vibe" shows.
There is a good community vibe at the station. Plus, radio-hosting is fun!
