One of the best ways to support your community radio station is to become a member ... it's affordable, fun and best of all it's a great way to get involved, and meet like-minded radio enthusiasts!
What's in it for me?
Aside from that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you support a community initiative, there are several reasons why you should become a RoxFM member:
- Become a radio presenter: Yes YOU can host your very own radio show. FREE training is provided to all prospective DJs and you don't need to have any prior experience. Anyone can do this, provided they're over 13 years of age.
- Volunteer: Like all good community initiatives, RoxFM relies on the efforts of its volunteers to keep the station going. So if there's a skill you'd like to contribute - let us know!
- Be part of a community: By joining the RoxFM family you too can get involved in RoxFM social events and initiatives and meet like - minded people.
- Have a say: If you have been a member for 6 months or more, you are eligible to nominate for a position on the RoxFM Board. Members can also vote at AGMs (votes limited to 1 for Community Groups, Corporate Members and Families, only persons over 18 can vote).
Corporate Sponsorship
Corporate membership entitles the bearer to 30 free 30 second radio spots for the year.
As of January 1, 2009, corporate members will also have their logo published on the RoxFM web site.
Community Group Sponsorship
Community groups may also opt for membership. As of January 1, 2009, Community Group sponsors will have their logo published on the RoxFM web site.
What does it cost?*
- Individual: $30
- Family: $50
- Student/Concession: $15
- Associate (Persons between 12-18 years of age): $10
- Community Group: $50
- Corporate: $100
*Membership fees are due by January 31st each year. Presenters who fail to pay their membership will not be able to continue on-air.
